Terms and Conditions

1. Booking

By making a booking with Dales Tours, you agree to these Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and all members of your party.The lead passenger must be at least 18 years of age.Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received and you have received a booking confirmation from Dales Tours.

2. Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking.Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (£).Prices include transport and the services of your driver/guide unless otherwise stated.Entrance fees, refreshments, meals and personal purchases are not included unless specifically stated.

3. Cancellations by You

If you need to cancel your booking, the following applies:• More than 7 full days before your tour – Full refund.• 7 days or less before your tour – No refund.• Failure to attend or being late for your tour (no-show) will be treated as a cancellation and no refund will be given.If you are unable to travel, please contact us as soon as possible.

4. Changes to Your Booking

Where possible, we will do our best to accommodate changes to your booking.Changes requested shortly before the tour date may not be possible and may incur additional costs.

5. Cancellations by Dales Tours

Very occasionally we may need to cancel a tour due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

• Severe weather

• Road closures

• Vehicle breakdown

• Driver illness

• Insufficient passenger numbers

• Other unforeseen circumstances affecting safety or operation

If this happens you will be offered either: an alternative date, or a full refund.

Our liability is limited to the cost of your booking.

6. Tour Itineraries and Seating

The published itinerary is intended as a guide.We reserve the right to alter routes, stopping places or timings due to weather, road conditions, traffic, local events or any other circumstances beyond our control.In the interests of guest safety, last-minute changes to the itinerary may occasionally be necessary due to adverse weather conditions, flooding, road closures or other unforeseen circumstances. Where this happens, we will provide a suitable alternative experience wherever possible.Every effort will be made to provide an enjoyable and comparable experience.While every effort is made to include all advertised stops, some viewpoints or photo opportunities may be omitted if weather, road conditions, parking availability or time constraints make it unsafe or impractical to stop.Seats cannot be reserved or pre-selected.Passengers may choose from the available seats when boarding the vehicle on a first-come, first-served basis. The driver may occasionally ask guests to change seats during the tour where necessary for operational, safety or comfort reasons.

7. Pick-up and Departure

Please arrive at the agreed departure point 15 minutes before departure.Unfortunately, we cannot delay departure for late arrivals.If you miss the departure, this will be treated as a no-show and no refund will be given.

8. Passenger Behaviour

We want everyone to enjoy their day.Passengers must:

  • behave respectfully towards other guests and the driver;
  • follow all reasonable instructions given by the driver;
  • remain seated while the vehicle is moving unless instructed otherwise;
  • wear seat belts whenever the vehicle is in motion.
  • Not be under the influence of drugs or alcoholDales Tours reserves the right to refuse travel or terminate a tour without refund if a passenger's behaviour is abusive, threatening, dangerous or significantly impacts the enjoyment or safety of others.

9. Health & Mobility

Our tours involve getting in and out of the vehicle and walking on uneven ground, village streets, country footpaths and occasionally steps.Guests are responsible for ensuring the tour is suitable for their own mobility and health.Please let us know before booking if you have any mobility requirements and we will advise whether the tour is suitable.Unfortunately, our vehicle is not wheelchair accessible.

10. Children

For safety and comfort, Dales Tours does not accept children under 14 years of age. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

11. Pets

Pets are not permitted on scheduled tours.Registered assistance dogs are welcome by prior arrangement.

12. Food Allergies

If refreshments are included as part of your tour, please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements when booking.While every effort will be made to accommodate dietary needs, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.

13. Photography

Guests are welcome to take photographs throughout the tour.From time to time Dales Tours may take photographs during tours for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to appear in photographs, please let your driver know before the tour begins.

14. Lost Property

Any property left in the vehicle will be retained for a reasonable period where possible.While every effort will be made to return lost property, Dales Tours cannot accept responsibility for items left behind.

15. Weather

Yorkshire weather can change quickly.Guests are advised to bring:

  • suitable walking footwear;
  • waterproof clothing;
  • warm layers, even during summer months;
  • sun protection where appropriate.Tours will normally operate in wet weather unless conditions are considered unsafe.

16. Liability

Dales Tours accepts no responsibility for:

  • loss or damage to personal belongings;
  • delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures or events outside our control;
  • costs incurred as a result of missed onward travel connections.Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded under UK law.

17. Insurance

Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel insurance if they require cancellation cover or protection for personal belongings.

18. Privacy

Personal information supplied during booking will only be used for administering your booking and providing your tour.We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

19. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
