Travelling through the heart of the dales, you'll discover dramatic limestone scenery, charming stone built villages, historic market towns and breathtaking viewpoints. Along the way there will be plenty of opportunities for photographs, short walks and replenishments while your guide shares stories of the areas history, farming traditions and local life.

Grassington
Our journey begins in the bustling market town of Grassington, one of the most attractive villages in the Yorkshire Dales. Famous for its cobbled square, independent shops and traditional Yorkshire character, it provides the perfect gateway to the National Park. Grassington is the home of Darrowby, the fictional village in the James Herriot books All Creatures Great and Small
Arncliffe and Littondale
Travelling through one of the Dales' most peaceful valleys, we'll visit the picturesque village of Arncliffe, nestled beneath dramatic limestone hills. This beautiful village is renowned for its traditional cottages, village green and rich farming heritage.
Langthrosdale
One of the most beautiful dales, we head through beautiful dales countryside with plenty of opportunity to stop and take in the glorious views.
Hawes & Hardraw
Famous for its traditional market, independent shops and connection to Wensleydale cheese, Hawes is an ideal stop for refreshments.
Just outside Hawes lies the village of Hardraw and the spectacular Hardraw Force, England's highest single-drop waterfall.
Aysgarth Falls
Made famous by the film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Aysgarth Falls consists of a series of stunning waterfalls cascading through ancient woodland. The broad limestone steps create one of Yorkshire's most photographed natural attractions.
Wensleydale Villages
Travelling west through Wensleydale, we'll pass through a collection of picture-postcard villages, including:
• Bainbridge
• Askrigg
• Carperby
• West Burton
Each village has its own unique character and history, with beautiful stone cottages, village greens and traditional pubs.
Wharfedale Scenic Drive
The final section of the tour follows the beautiful Upper Wharfedale valley, passing through some of the most picturesque scenery in the National Park, including
Buckden, nestled beneath the dramatic slopes of Buckden Pike, Buckden is a classic Dales village with stone cottages, a village green and stunning surroundings.
Kettlewell, famous for its annual scarecrow festival and traditional Yorkshire character.
Kilnsey, where you’ll see the overhanging limestone crag.
